Queen Nefertiti III, Summer A. Turner, was born in New Orleans, La and spent her early childhood years in uptown New Orleans. She is a graduate of the esteemed Warren Easton High School.  Summer is also an Army Veteran and accredits this experience to the awakening  of her passion to help those who are unable to help themselves.  In seeking a profession where she could continue servicing those in need, once she returned home, she joined the New Orleans Police Department, where she currently holds the position of Detective Sergeant.  Summer is a graduate of Southern University of New Orleans where she received a degree in Substance Abuse and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, graduating  Cum Laude. She is a devoted mother to a teenage daughter and daughter to two doting parents .  In her spare time, Summer enjoys dancing, singing, watching sports, mentoring young girls, spending time with family, friends and her Nefertiti Sisters as well as visiting schools to facilitate assemblies to students in New Orleans East to assist in combating and providing resources for the issues facing our youth.

On January 29, 2023, Queen Nefertiti Summer Turner graced the streets of New Orleans East and was received by the community with love and adoration.
