Krewe Of Nefertiti Food Court

Greetings Vendors!

 

The Krewe of Nefertiti Family Day Parade is scheduled to roll January 30, 2022, starting at 1pm.  The organization is expecting a great turnout from the community as well as those from neighboring communities.  With safety in mind, we have decided to provide a designated area for food venders where the parade goers can dine safely and in a concentrated area which we are calling the Krewe Of Nefertiti Family Day Food Court. 

 

If you are interested in partnering with us in making the Krewe of Nefertiti Family Day Parade 2022 a memorable experience for the New Orleans East community, review the below rules and instructions.

 

Krewe of Nefertiti Family Day Food Court

 

Where: Executive Plaza, 10001 Lake Forest Blvd, New Orleans, LA. 70127

 

When: January 30th, 2022, from 11am to 4pm (Setup 7am-11am, breakdown 4pm-6pm)

 

Deadline: Saturday, January 29th, 2022, NOON

 

Vender Space: Food Truck (scale to size), Tent/Trailer/etc. 10x10

 

Weather: Event is rain or shine, refunds will not be given due to inclement weather

 

Certificate of Insurance: A current Certificate of insurance is required for all vendors naming the Krewe of Nefertiti as an additional insured should be presented before set up.


 

Requirements:

  • Must have Food Vendor's Special Event Occupational License (will be required to present before setup on January 30th, 2022)

  • The exhibitor will be responsible for being open during the entire event.  You cannot vacate early.  Your food truck/booth/tent must be neat, attractive and well-maintained. Signage with visible and clear pricing is required.  You are responsible for setting up, maintaining and removing your own items, setup, merchandise, and trash.

Procedures:

  1. Complete the Application on the Krewe of Nefertiti Website Page titled "Krewe Of Nefertiti Food Court"

  2. Application should include a detailed list of proposed products/items to be sold identifying offerings and projected pricing for those offerings.

  3. Once your application is accepted, you will receive an invoice to submit payment of $200.00 for vendor fee.  If vendor fee is not paid by Saturday, January 29th, 2022, vendor fee will increase to $250.00.  

  4. Certificate of insurance naming the Krewe of Nefertiti as an additional insured must be emailed to captain@kreweofnefertiti.org.


 

Insurance Verification:

 

Each exhibitor must provide the Krewe of Nefertiti with a certificate for Comprehensive General Liability and Automobile Insurance, $1,000,000 minimum plus Workers Compensation as provided by the statutory limits of $100,000 each accident, $500,000 disease policy limited and $100,000 disease for each employee.

 

The Krewe of Nefertiti must be listed as additional insured under general liability in relation to show participation, on the certificate under “Description of operations/Locations/Vehicles/Exclusions added by Endorsement/Special Provisions”. There are two exceptions to the Workers Compensation requirement (1) Canadian exhibitor and (2) any vendor that is self-employed with zero employees; this exhibitor must submit a date/signed letter stating “I am self-employed with zero employees and therefore exempt for carrying Workers compensation.

 

Menu and Signage

 

  1. Only menu items approved by the Krewe of Nefertiti Family Day Food Court Committee may be sold.

  2. Venders must list on their application all items they wish to sell.  Items not listed should not be sold at the event.

  3. Vendors are not granted exclusive rights to sell any particular item.

  4. All signs and displays must be of a professionally produced nature.  All signs must be secured to the tent, truck, trailer.  Prices of items must be displayed.

  5. Food/Concessionaires are required to keep a neat, presentable booth at all times.  Empty boxes and trash will not be permitted around the booth.  

  6. It is the sole responsibility of each exhibitor/concessionair to obtain the applicable and appropriate state and local licenses and permits as well as payment of taxes pertaining to their operation. Please note: Food vendors should expect inspections of food operations by the Louisiana Health Department.

  7. SALES OF ALCOHOL BEVERAGES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED!

Instructions for Setup:

 

  • Setup time will begin at 7am, Sunday, January 30th 2022.  Your business is expected to be open and fully operational no later than 11am.

  • Vender space is limited, if you are not in a food truck, you will be allotted a 10x10 spot for your tent, trailer, etc.

  • One vehicle is allowed per vendor.  Vehicles must be parked in the designated support vehicle parking area.  If you have a food truck, you are NOT permitted to have a vehicle in the designated support vehicle parking area.

  • For the safety of the parade goers, once parked, vehicles will not be allowed to move during hours of operation (11am-4pm) in the vending area.

  • Serving area must be clear and not obstruct the free flow of parade goers. Tables and Chairs are strictly prohibited.

  • Each vendor must be fully operational.  Electricity, water, restrooms, etc will not be provided.

  • You must remain open and operational from 11am to 4pm, unless otherwise instructed by the Krewe of Nefertiti Designated representative.

  • You are fully responsible for your setup and breakdown.  

  • Trash bins will be provided for the parade goers, but we suggest you bring your own trash dispensers as well.

  • At the conclusion of the event, your designated area should be cleaned and vacated no later than 6pm.
